Breanne successfully undertook the defence of her PhD thesis on March 23, 2015. Congratulations! Defending her thesis was a smooth ride for Breanne where she had to made corrections for only 6 spelling mistakes at the end of the day. Not bad for a ~300 page document. Breanne was the first member of the Uludag Lab to investigate siRNA therapy for leukemic cells and she will be always remember for the trail she blazed. We did not appreciate the challenges of working with leukemic cells and Breanne patiently revealed the full extent of these challanges during the course of her PhD thesis, while identifying promising delivery system to transport siRNA into leukemic cells. Her studies will make it easier for the up-coming students to be involved in this line of research. We wish Breanne best of luck in her future endeavours.
