A NOTE TO PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS

Uludag lab is dedicated to providing opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as other research personnel to further their scientific careers. We welcome both Canadian and international applicants. We daily receive request for placements in the lab from individuals with diverse backgrounds. However, we simply do not have the time to respond to all requests. Please be assured that these requests and applications are thoroughly inspected as they arrive. An initial evaluation is based on the suitability of the applicants’ background for research projects in the Uludag lab. Our specific needs are researchers with backgrounds and interests in (i) organic and polymer chemistry, and (ii) cellular and molecular biology. If salary support and actual supervision time by Dr. Uludag is available, we will advise the suitable applicants for further steps necessary to join the Uludag lab. We usually accept 1 or 2 students a year, as well as other self-funded researchers. We encourage the interested individuals to submit an application to U. of Alberta since graduate student possibilities always exist with other faculty members.
