July/2018. We are delighted to see our ‘long-distance’ graduate student Deniz Sezlev Bilecen complete all the requirements of a PhD degree from the Middle East Technical University (METU) and graduate with flying colours. Deniz was mentored by Dr. Vasif Hasirci and Dr. Uludag, and developed a bone-seeking siRNA delivery systems for systemic stimulation of bone formation. She coordinated her research activities to amalgamate the expertise of Hasirci and Uludag labs and made important contributions to the scientific literature during her PhD studies. We wish Deniz all the success in her future endeavors.
