November/2013 – Laura successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Laura conducted a series of integrated studies to look at plasmid DNA delivery in culture and in animal models. She developed a unique insight into gene-based therapeutic approaches for tissue induction. Along the way, she established a high bar for the students that will follow. We wish her all the best in her PDF studies and all the future endeavors.
