Nov/2018. Congratulations are due to Manoj Parmer who successfully defended his PhD thesis at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Manoj was guided by Dr. Uludag and Dr. R. Loebenberg during his PhD studies and he was financially supported by an Alberta Innovated Health Sciences studentship in the latter part of his thesis work. Manoj conducted a series of well-integrated studies in order to explore the potential of siRNA therapy for breast cancer. He was able to identify novel targets to retard uncontrolled cell growth as well as cell migration. He developed effective nanoparticle formulations that implemented the siRNA therapy in the most potent way possible. It was a delight to see all of Manoj’s studies to be published on time in high caliber journals. We wish Manoj best of luck in his future endeavours.
