Project Funded

April/2012 – We are delighted to have our CIHR Operating Grant renewed for another 4 years (~$130,000 per annum). The project, entitled Designing Amphiphilic Polymeric Carriers of DNA for Gene Therapy, will allow us to pursue in situ gene expression for bone formation. We are going to develod novel biomaterials and package expression vectors (plasmid DNA) into nanaoparticles suitable for in situ expression of osteogenesis-inducing proteins. This is a significant investment by a publicly-funded agency and we will put this public funding to good use in our lab.
