Welcome and goodbye to our short term visitors

Aug/2016. We were fortunate to work with several young minds during the course of summer/2016.

Rebecca Zabludowski joined us from McGill U. (Chemical Engineering major) on an NSERC USRA scholarship. She conducted gene delivery studies to primary cells from rat skull defects, and helped us to elucidate the efficiency of our biomaterials on this important cell population.

Foyez Uddin joined us from the Chemical & Materials Engineering Department (U. of Alberta) to conduct studies on mineralization of collagen scaffolds ex vivo.

Dr. Kuniharu Utsuno joined us from the Tomakomai National College of Technology (Nishikioka, Japan) for the second time to conduct ITC (Isothermal Titration Calorimetry) analysis of DNA binding to speciality polymers.

Oguzhan Tarman joined us from the Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey) to inspect attachment of chronic myeloid leukemia cells to extracellular matrix components.

We are delighted to host them at the Uludag Lab even if it was only for a short time. Their contributions to our research activity is appreciated and we look forward seeing them again in the future in Edmonton.
