April/2012 – We are delighted to welcome a new research associate to our lab, Dr. Hilal Gul-Uludag. Hilal is a cellular and molecular biologist with specialization in normal hematopoiesis, hematological malignancies and novel therapies. Hilal obtained her PhD from J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany) and conducted research at the Canadian Blood Services and U. of Alberta/NINT. Hilal will lead leukemia projects in the Uludag lab, exploring novel therapies based on siRNA and microRNA, as well as manipulation of stem cells for clinical transplantation and gene therapy.
